Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Senior Helper (the "App") handles your data. The developer is Ragnar Haide.

1. Do we collect data?

No, none. The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, location, device identifiers, or in-app activity. The App uses no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting.

2. Internet

The App does not require internet access and makes no network requests. Everything works offline on your device.

3. Permissions

The App asks for the following Android system permissions on first launch. Each is strictly limited to in-app functionality.

• Phone calls (CALL_PHONE) — used only to call a number you choose in the Phone or SOS feature. The App does not access call logs.
• Camera (CAMERA) — used only for the Flashlight (torch) and Magnifier (live zoom view). The App does not take photos, record video, or read the photo gallery.
• Vibration (VIBRATE) — for haptic button feedback (a brief vibration on each tap).
• Flashlight (FLASHLIGHT) — for the Flashlight feature.
• Contacts (READ_CONTACTS) — used only when you tap "Import all contacts from phone". Single-contact import uses the system contact picker which requires no separate permission. Imported contact data (name and number) is stored only in your device's local memory.

4. Locally stored data

The App stores the following data in your device's SharedPreferences. None of this ever leaves your phone:

• Contact names and phone numbers you added or imported
• SOS emergency contact name and number
• UI preference flags (e.g. that the welcome screen has been shown)

To delete this data, uninstall the App or clear its data in Android settings (Settings → Apps → Senior Helper → Storage → Clear data).

5. Data sharing

The App does not share any data with any third party. There is no cloud, no server, no API.

6. Children

The App is suitable for users of any age, although the primary audience is older adults. It does not collect data on children specifically.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Effective" date at the top of this page will be updated.
